ASTM senior staff visited the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland, on Jan. 13. During the visit, participants discussed the shared interest of ASTM and NIST in smart manufacturing. In addition, ASTM staff members noted the importance of the 165 NIST scientists and researchers who are active in 59 ASTM technical committees.
