ASTM Staff Review MOU with Standardization Adminstration of the People's Republic of China

During a visit to Beijing, China in September 2013, staff of ASTM International took the opportunity to review the memorandum of understanding signed in 2004 with the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC). Representatives of the two organizations also discussed enhancing Chinese expert engagement in ASTM technical committees and providing training about the ASTM standards development process.

Also, on Nov. 21, 2013, Liu Fei, chief representative, ASTM International China office, attended the annual meeting of the SAC committee on asphalt concrete, SAC/TC458/SC1. At the meeting, he made a presentation on ASTM standards, their development process, and the advantages of ASTM membership.
