April Workshop on Environmental Assessment

ASTM International’s committee on environmental assessment, risk management and corrective action (E50) is sponsoring the Workshop on Sediment Corrective Action, April 11, 2018, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in California, USA. The workshop will take place in conjunction with the April standards development meetings of the committee.

The workshop will examine how a unified approach for addressing contaminated sediment sites can improve guidance and consistency in areas such as:

  • Risk assessment,
  • Analytical methods and techniques,
  • Corrective action objective development, and
  • Monitoring plan development and implementation.

A framework consisting of three new ASTM International sediment corrective action standards is currently in development and the information discussed at this workshop will help to enhance the usability of the framework and create consistency with how contaminated sediment sites are managed.

Online registration is now open and will close on April 4. Registration questions can be directed to Tessa Sulkes. For technical information or questions, contact the workshop chairman Tripp Fischer.
