Packaging Workshop

ASTM International’s committees on packaging (D10), and primary barrier packaging (F02) are co-sponsoring the workshop Optimizing Packaging Performance, October 11, at the Sheraton New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A. The workshop will take place in conjunction with the October standards development meetings of the committees.

This workshop will provide packaging professionals an opportunity to explore the factors that go into evaluating and predicting successful packaging performance. The workshop will dive into the interaction between packaging distribution simulation and package integrity and then explore the many options for evaluating integrity. Insight into the use of accelerated aging testing as opposed to distribution simulation will be discussed. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration will weigh in with a regulatory perspective. Sustainability as it relates to packaging continues to evolve and the current state will also be discussed.

Online registration will close on Oct 4. Registration questions can be directed to Tessa Sulkes. For technical information or questions, contact workshop co-chairs Dhuanne Dodrill, or Larry Anderson.
