ASTM Signs MOUs with Two National Standards Bodies

ASTM International has signed two new memorandums of understanding with the national standards bodies of Angola and Barbados: the Angolan Institute of Standardization and Quality (IANORQ) and the Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI). These MOUs bring the total number of such ASTM partnerships to 94.

The MOU with IANORQ was signed by Laurentino Canga, director general, IANORQ, and James A. Thomas, president, ASTM. The MOU with BNSI was signed by Anthea Ishmael, director, BNSI, and Thomas.

The MOU program was launched in 2001 to promote communication between ASTM and national standards bodies worldwide, fostering awareness of the standardization systems of all parties involved. For more information, visit the Global Cooperation page on ASTM's website.
