ASTM Celebrates MOU Anniversaries

Recognizing 10 years of partnership since the signing of the MOU with the Badan Standardisasi Nasional, Teresa Cendrowska, vice president of global cooperation, ASTM, presented a certificate of recognition and letter of appreciation from ASTM President James Thomas to Dewi Odjar Ratna Komala, deputy of information and promotion of standardization, and Erniningsih Haryadi, head of BSN's Center of Cooperation on Standardization. ASTM International recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its memorandum of understanding agreements with the national standards bodies of China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Teresa Cendrowska, vice president, global cooperation, ASTM, made presentations to representatives of the Indonesia and China NSBs - Badan Standardisasi Nasional and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China - at the annual Pacific Area Standards Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 6.

ASTM's MOU program was launched in 2001 in order to promote communication between ASTM International and national standards bodies worldwide, fostering awareness of the standardization systems of all parties involved.
