World Standards Day Paper Competition

The U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day Paper Competition is underway. Papers are being accepted until midnight, Aug. 11. Authors can address the 2017 World Standards Day theme, “Smart Health: Using Intelligent Systems to Improve the Quality and Delivery of Health Care in a More Integrated, Focused Approach” or another topic of their choosing. Papers can be either U.S. or international in scope. The paper competition is open to any U.S. resident in the private sector, government, or academia, including employees of standards developing organizations.

Three cash prizes are awarded by SES – The Society of Standards Professionals and the World Standards Day Planning Committee: $2,500 and a plaque, $1,000 and $500, respectively, for first-, second- and third-place winners. For more information, visit the SES website.
