Rationale

This ballot item introduces an alternative to the current Type I sheet decarburized product. This alternative product will be named Type IA, and it achieves its ultra-low carbon chemistry in the melting operation of the steelmaking process versus Type I which achieves its ultra-low carbon chemistry in the open coil anneal sheet decarburization process.
