$500 Project Grants Available

Recognizing that students sometimes need financial assistance in completing their graduate or senior capstone design projects, ASTM International annually offers a limited number of $500 grants to university students to help with projects that feature an ASTM component. The deadline for submitting applications is Oct. 31.

WISE Hsain

Alex Hsain, this year’s ASTM International-sponsored Washington Internships for Students of Engineering (WISE) recipient, visited ASTM’s Washington, D.C., office on June 4 to discuss her policy paper regarding issues related to standardization in Southern Africa. WISE is a competitive summer program in Washington, D.C., offered annually to about a dozen engineering juniors and seniors interested in public policy.
