ASTM and IEC Committees Discuss Declarable Substances

Members of ASTM International’s committee on declarable substances in materials (F40) and the International Electrotechnical Commission’s committee on standardization of environmental aspects (TC 111) met April 3-4 in Toronto, Canada. Stakeholders from Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Sweden, and the United States exchanged ideas about restricting the use of hazardous substances in manufactured materials.
