ASTM International held a one-hour session for approximately 25 students from the Charotar Institute of Science and Technology in Gujarat, India, on Feb. 27. James Olshefsky, ASTM director of external relations, was accompanied by Srivatsa Srinivasan, chief coordinator, memberships and events (South Asia) of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists and other standards development organizations. The meeting included an overview of ASTM International, benefits of student membership and the importance of standards to trade.
