ASTM Delegation Visits Consumer Reports
Executives from ASTM visited the New York City headquarters of Consumer Reports on February 13. Shown above: Jeff Grove, vice president of global policy and industry affairs; Len Morrissey, director of standards development; and Kathie Morgan, president, ASTM. The ASTM delegation attended meetings and toured the Consumer Reports facility. While there, Grove, Morrissey, and Morgan saw a wide variety of consumer product testing, including bike helmets, vacuum cleaners, laundry packets and strollers, all of which are covered by ASTM standards.

“The first thing we look for with strollers and baby products is safety. And that’s where ASTM comes in,” said Joan Muratore (shown here), a program leader at Consumer Reports and a member of ASTM’s committee on consumer products (F15). “I participate on as many of the committees as I can.”
