Sarah Naouri, manager, global cooperation, ASTM International, met with standards officials in the United Arab Emirates and Jordan in early November.

On Nov. 2, 2011, Naouri visited the Emirates Standards and Metrology Authority to discuss future collaboration activities and to be updated on the unified Gulf building code initiative. The following day, Naouri traveled to Jordan to meet with staff at the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization. She presented an overview of ASTM and its various electronic tools to JSMO staff and discussed the possibility of future training opportunities.
