ASTM International China Chief Reprsentative Meets with Mongolia Standards Body
On Oct. 11-12, 2012, Liu Fei, ASTM International's chief representative in China, presented information to various audiences at the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology, a memorandum of understanding partner with ASTM since January 2004.
On the first day, Liu Fei led an ASTM-MASM workshop titled "ASTM International and the Value of Standards to Global Industry." The workshop included information about ASTM International, the ASTM-MASM MOU, electronic tools that facilitate standards development, the ASTM standards balloting process and the value that standards offer in global trade.
On the second day, Liu Fei participated in a workshop on environmental standards, presenting to Mongolian industry and government representatives regarding the range of environmental standards developed by ASTM International technical committees and the utilization of these standards both domestically and internationally.
