ASTM and Its Corporate Communications Department Receive Local and National Honors

ASTM International ranked eighth this year on a list of the best nonprofit places to work in the Philadelphia, Pa., area. The list, Top Workplaces 2010, was based on a poll of area employees taken by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

ASTM's Corporate Communications department was honored recently with publication awards. SN and the 2008 ASTM International annual report, Clarity - Looking Forward with Experience, each won a 2010 Hermes Platinum Award, the highest honor given by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals in its annual international competition, which recognizes excellence and creativity in publishing.

In addition to the Hermes Award, the ASTM 2008 annual report won the Communicator 2010 Award of Excellence, the highest tier award from the program. This is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work in various media.

SN also received an Apex Award of Excellence for "Most Improved Magazine." This award reflects SN's redesign, which was launched in 2008. The Apex Awards are sponsored by Communications Concepts Inc., an organization that helps publishing, public relations and marketing professionals improve publications programs through a series of focused services.
