ASTM Meets with Central American Industry Representatives at Mexican Event
At the invitation of the Consejo Empresarial Mexicano de Comercio Exterior Inversión y Tecnología (COMCE), Luis Ordonez and Vanessa Corona, ASTM International's representatives in Mexico, participated in the first Mesoamerican Business Meeting. The meeting was held Oct. 4–7 in Mexico City.
Industry representatives from throughout Central America attended the event. Ordonez and Corona introduced attendees to the benefits of becoming involved in ASTM technical committees as well as how standards can influence trade.
ASTM International has signed memorandums of understanding with nine of the Central American countries represented at the event.
