Through its standards and related solutions, ASTM International provides the technical foundations of sustainable construction. This was a key message of the ASTM exhibit at the recent Greenbuild expo, held in Philadelphia on Nov. 20-22, 2013. Greenbuild attracted professionals from all aspects of the building industry, and the event offered an excellent platform for announcing ASTM's most recent initiative in sustainable construction - completing the first product category rule for single-ply roofing membranes. Greenbuild is a sustainable event, and ASTM standards contain the requirements and criteria for green meetings and events.
