ASTM Staff Meets with U.S. Bureau of Reclamation
Representatives of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and ASTM staff members met in August in Denver, Colorado, to discuss the role the federal government plays in the voluntary consensus standards process in light of the recently revised OMB Circular A119, Federal Participation in the Development and Use of Voluntary Consensus Standards and in Conformity Assessment Activities. Experiences were shared about working through a federal standards executive to help facilitate bureau and Department of the Interior participation in a variety of ASTM technical committees.
