The day before they symposium, Morgan toured the facilities of Daeyoun Co., a manufacturer of polyethylene valves and fittings. During his visit, Morgan met with Young Sik Kim, Daeyoun's CEO; Yoon Jeong Lee, Daeyoun's CFO; and others in senior management. According to CEO Kim, Daeyoun relies on ASTM standards for fittings and electro-fusion weld techniques for use in international trade. Using ASTM standards has been a key factor in the success of Daeyoun, particularly as the company has begun shipping products to Latin America.

Following the Daeyoun tour, Morgan visited the Korean Standards Association in Seoul, where he met with representatives from both KSA and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards. During this meeting, Morgan learned about operations, KSA and KATS, and he also described to the group the innovations that ASTM has made that have improved its standards developing and distribution systems.
