ASTM Staff Participates in USA Science and Engineering Festival
Carla Falco, director, marketing, ASTM; and Kimberly Simms, manager, global cooperation, ASTM, staffed an ASTM International information table at the USA Science and Engineering Festival held in Washington, D.C., on April 25-27. The purpose of the festival is to encourage children to pursue education and careers in the fields of science and engineering.
In addition to ASTM and other science and engineering organizations, the festival featured a diverse array of scientists, speakers and performers, including Bill Nye, the Science Guy; Mike Rowe of the television show "Dirty Jobs" and pop-rock band They Might Be Giants, whose discography includes the Grammy-nominated 2009 children's album, "Here Comes Science."
