On Jan. 28, representatives from the Japanese Standards Association, the Japan External Trade Organization and the Mitsubishi Research Institute met with Katharine Morgan, ASTM executive vice president, at ASTM International headquarters. The focus of their discussion was international standardization; it included an exchange on the multiple path approach to international standardization, standards development efficiencies, ASTM's collaboration with Japanese companies and standardization trends in Asia.
