ASTM's China Office Hosts Delegations

On Oct. 14, the China Magnesite Material Association and Shandong Provincial Institute of Building Science visited the ASTM China office in Beijing to discuss their interest in proposing standards development for a new type of building material – magnesite oxychloride board, which is applied to walls for thermal insulation and
fire protection.

Liu Fei, chief representative, ASTM China office, explained the ASTM process, including standards development, and ASTM’s benefits for industry. CMMA visitors also invited the ASTM China office staff to attend the CMMA’s 15th anniversary to be held in Jiangsu Province in early November.
