ASTM's Quinn Testifies at Trans Pacific Partnership Hearing

Anthony Quinn, director of public policy and international trade, ASTM, testifies at the U.S. International Trade Commission.

On Jan. 14, Anthony Quinn, director of public policy and international trade, ASTM, testified on behalf of ASTM at the U.S. International Trade Commission's hearing on the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. Quinn explained that ASTM has more than 26,900 members from the 11 countries in the TPP. He noted that the TPP is an opportunity to facilitate trade by eliminating unnecessary barriers to trade, enhancing transparency and promoting greater regulatory cooperation and good regulatory practice. In addition, Quinn cited participation among TPP countries in ASTM's Memorandum of Understanding Program and its Proficiency Testing Program.
