China Representative Attends CNIS Workshop
ASTM's chief representative in China, Liu Fei, participated in the China National Institute of Standardization Training Workshop on Standards Resources and Services, held May 10-11 in Kunming, China. Liu Fei presented information on:
- Types of ASTM International standards;
- The standards development process, including balloting;
- ASTM membership;
- ASTM International's China operations; and
- Copyright and patents.
Representatives of CNIS introduced their online standards delivery system and discussed their ability to facilitate access to ASTM standards. There were about 30 participants, including some multinational companies, from the petroleum industry, provincial import and export inspection services, and testing bodies.
