On May 23, ASTM International cosponsor the fourth national American Concrete Institute concrete cylinder competition in the materials laboratory at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico. The competition featured 34 teams from 24 universities, representing more than 100 Mexican civil engineering students. Each team was required to use ASTM standards to develop and test concrete cylinders. Winners were awarded scholarships based on their performance in six different categories in the competition.
