Jerome Nzuba (right), laboratory analyst for the Kenyan Bureau of Standards laboratories, receives a certificate on his Dec. 2015 completion of a three-week attachment at ASTM from Teresa Cendrowska, ASTM vice president of global cooperation. Sponsored by KEBS, Nzuba had the opportunity to learn about technical aspects of ASTM International standards of key interest to Kenya's monitoring of adulterated gasoline and diesel fuel and the evaluation of lubricating oils containing recycled oils. During his visit Nzuba attended the meetings of Committee D02 on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels and Lubricants, joined virtual meetings on technical topics and made site visits to observe the application of ASTM tests and test equipment.
