Teresa Cendrowska, vice president, global cooperation, ASTM International, presents an ASTM memento to Enkhtaivan Gurjav, chairman, Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology, after their meeting in Washington, D.C. With a memorandum of understanding between ASTM International and MASM in place since January 2004, the meeting provided an opportunity to review the many cooperative activities undertaken to date and to discuss additional steps that can be taken for further collaboration. MASM is already effectively utilizing ASTM standards by referencing or adopting them to support Mongolian standardization for road and building infrastructure.
