Past ASTM Chairman Visits China

Stoller Speaks at Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology

Roger Stoller, Ph.D., past chairman of the ASTM International board of directors, accompanied by staff from ASTM's China office, visited the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University to give a presentation to researchers at the INET Experimental Center located in Chaingping, a northern suburb of Beijing, China. Stoller, a distinguished research staff member and program manager for fusion reactor materials in the Materials Science and Technology Division, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Oak Ridge, Tenn., discussed the effects of radiation on structural materials applied in nuclear reactors. Stoller also visited the INET HTR-10 nuclear facility.

While in China, Stoller additionally had the opportunity to provide a presentation to staff of the State Nuclear Power Technology Corp. Ltd.
