April Workshop on Air Quality
ASTM International’s committee on air quality (D22) is sponsoring the workshop on Sampling and Analytical Advances in Formaldehyde and Other Carbonyl Compounds’ Determination in Air. The workshop will take place on April 12 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in California, USA, in conjunction with the April standards development meetings of the committee.
There have been technological advancements since the ASTM International standard on the determination of formaldehyde and other carbonyl compounds (ASTM D5197) was first introduced. Therefore, there is a need for review and consideration of alternative technologies. This workshop will include presentations and discussion on alternative sampling and analytic strategies, and aims to produce a path to revision of the standard or circulate alternative test methods.
Online registration will open approximately 10 weeks before the workshop. Registration questions can be directed to Tessa Sulkes. For technical information or questions, contact the workshop chairman Kurt Thaxton.
